Treks and Trail Rides
H ighland Wildrides offers world class trekking. Within minutes of leaving the yard you can survey some of the most spectacular and breath taking panoramic views that Europe can offer. Parents or non-riding family members, as well as well behaved dogs, are welcome to join the slower treks on foot. A picnic can be arranged on longer rides. You can also get us to take our own pictures and videos of you riding which we can put onto a CD for you, which gives you a lasting memory of your trip and can be shown to relatives and friends. This is ideal for guests who have been given one of our gift vouchers and would like to show how much their gift was appreciated. A t Highland Wildrides the trailriding possibilities are endless with trails that take you to views over two coasts and seven counties and our unique and well managed landscape in Sutherland makes for easy yet adventurous riding. Ideally suited for competent riders and only available to riders over 16yrs (unless very advanced) we currently have a fantastic full day trail that has delighted every rider. It is a real experience and is a great way to test your riding skills whilst taking in the amazing scenery, wildlife, heritage and culture of the greatest wilderness of Northern Europe. It is always advisable to book
these treks in
advance quoting the age, ability, height and weight of all members of
your
party. You should arrive 15mins early for your ride so that you can
fill in
some detail forms (available to download here) and meet your
horses.
If any members of your party
have special
requirements or require any reassurance then please let us know as we
aim to
make our treks the most memorable thing you ever do on a horse. All
treks are
supervised by a trained guide and if you would like to be lead reined
or side
walked we shall arrange this.
